(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Ijing june 16 (qna) - china's stock index futures closed higher on monday with the contract for june the most actively traded up 0.45% to close at 2186.6 points.
the july contract went up 0.53% to end at 2181.4 points china's news agency (xinhua) reported.
the september contract gained 0.65% to close at 2189.4 points while the december contract rose 0.53% to 2200.6 points.
the stock-index contracts agreements to buy or sell the hushen 300 index at a preset value on an agreed date are designed to allow investors to bet on and profit from either gains or declines in the market.
the index futures was launched at the china financial futures exchange (cffex) and started trading from april 16 2010. the cffex has set the base value for all the four contracts at 3399 points. (qna)
