the summit’s holding and the high level of participation attests to the political will of the group and its belief in the joint action under the umbrella of the group 77 and china the minister noted. this coalition is an expression of the developing countries aspirations and gains a significant importance at a time the world is witnessing an aggravating gap between the developed world and the developing nations as well as the fading prospects of world economic revival and its impact on the countries of the south.

"we urge members of the group of 77 (g77) plus china to join qatar’s efforts’’ he al attiyah said.

he noted that the group has succeeded in achieving many of the aspirations of the developing nations and in growing significantly. today the group includes almost two thirds of the of the world countries he said.

"in view of these rapid developments we swiftly urge those concerned to pay attention to the demands of large segments of the population who only seek equality and participation away from all forms of sectarian or denominational discrimination. while we strongly condemn terrorism and violence in all its forms and manifests we must however take into account the fact that injustice exclusion marginalization and use of security and military solutions exclusively to suppress popular demands can lead to the interference of other parties fuel violence and contribute to its expansion but does not eliminate it in any way." he urged iraqis to resort to wisdom reason and dialogue in dealing with the current crisis in order to preserve the unity of iraq's land and people and institutions and stay away from anything that would increase the rift and deepens the division.
