Israeli forces detonate home in W. Bank, arrest 113 Palestinians

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) A large number of the Israeli military and police forces surrounded a house in Al-Khalil (Hebron) on Sunday night and detonated its door. They stormed and searched dozens of Palestinian homes in the city and other West Bank towns such as Bethlehem, Beit Jala and Beitunia near Ramallah. At least 113 Palestinians were arrested today during the Israeli joint military-police operation which is apparently related to the kidnap of three Israeli teens three days ago. Palestinian Minister of Detainees' and Ex-detainees' Affairs Shawki Al-Issa condemned the international silence at the maltreatment of the Palestinians in the occupied territories at the hand of the Israeli forces. "The arbitrary arrests, are being made under direct instructions from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, run counter to the international law and target all segments of the Palestinian people," he stressed. "The Israeli authorities know very well that all detainees have no connection with the disappearance of three Jewish teens," he said, accusing the Israeli soldiers of beating the detainees at the detention centers. Three students of Yeshiva - a Jewish religious institute, from the Jewish settlement of Kfar Etzion, between the occupied Jerusalem and Al-Khalil (Hebron), have been missing since Thursday night.
