Honda to recall over 1m defective vehicles

(MENAFN) According to sources, Honda Motor Company projects recalling vehicles with a potential airbag defect, which could expand a massive airbag recall by more than a million vehicles, Gulf Daily News. The Japan-based automaker expects the recall to exceed the 1.135 million vehicles which it called back globally last year. The recall involves faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata and would follow a similar move this week by Toyota. The Japanese Transport Ministry issued orders to car makers including Honda, Nissan and Mazda to quickly determine whether they need to expand their recalls.
