(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) After Arabic and English, the webpage of Oman Visitors Portal is now available in Italian as well. A press release stated that the Italian language option was added following demand from Italian travellers who are keen to visit and explore Oman.
H E Paola Amadei, Italy's Ambassador to Oman, who launched the new language option of the website said that this move will generate more interest about the country among Italian travellers.
The portal is a one-stop-destination for those who are looking to get information about Oman.
H E Paola was quoted in the release as saying, ''Italy's ties with the sultanate are growing in all fields particularly in tourism, trade and investment areas. The objective of the portal is to promote tourism of this beautiful country, which is rich in history, culture and landscape. I am sure that this new language option will further promote Oman in Italy.
''The number of tourists to both countries is also increasing. I am sure that an increasing number of Italian travellers will take advantage of this website.''
Bader Mohammed al Azri, team leader of the Oman Visitors Portal said, ''We are excited to add the Italian language option to our website. We have been working hard to increase our reach. We have made the site more user-friendly.''
In a statement, Al Koor Tourism, which collaborated on the project stated, 'It was around March 2013 when Al Koor Tourism started collaborating on this project. It took almost four months to complete translations of the website from English to Italian. It took another few months to collect banners, pictures and other information.'
