Britain condemns attack on plane E. Ukraine


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The British government condemned the attack of an Ukrainian military plane, which killed 49 people, in Eastern Ukraine on Saturday. "This tragic incident underlines once again the urgency and importance of Russia taking further measures to prevent the escalation of violence in eastern Ukraine, including by stopping support and the supply of arms for separatist groups," Foreign Secretary William Hague said in statement. "I condemn the attack on a Ukrainian military transport plane over the city of Luhansk which has reportedly resulted in the loss of life of a large number of Ukrainian military personnel," Hague added. "I offer my sincere condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of those affected," Hague said. "The international community stands ready to impose further sanctions if Russia continues to provoke instability in Ukraine," Hague added.
