the 45-year-old man faced charges of threat and extortion in the court of first instance.
the arab woman said in her complaint which she filed through an email to the dubai police that she met the accused on a phone messenger. he then talked to her on skype and filmed her. “i was surprised shortly later by him threatening to post my photos and videos online if i did not get naked in front of the camera” she claimed.
at first she did as he pleased but when he told her to come to the uae to have sex with him she wrote to the police.

the police searched his apartment in sharjah and seized two laptops and several memory devices.
photos of several women in a state of undress were found but no material linked to the case.
the police also found many text messages sent by the defendant to the woman with threatening and extortive content.
