India's apparel exports up 24.96 percent in May


(MENAFN) According to the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC), India's apparel exports increased 24.96 percent, hitting USD1.49 billion in May, Xinhua reported. The jump was driven by increasing demand from countries including Latin America, West Asia, Southern Africa and East Asia, the council added. The total value of apparel exports in the first two months of the current financial year reached USD2.81 billion, 20 percent higher compared to the same period a year ago.
