Eurozone's Trade Balance Comes Above Expected


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Xembourg city june 13 (qna) - the eurozone's trade balance was eur15.7 billion for the month of april the european union's (eu) statistical office eurostat said friday.

it was better than the eur 13.9 billion forecast by economists. it was lower however than the eur16.7 billion achieved in march this year. exports fell by 0.2% imports have also decreased by half a percentage point.

germany was the eurozone country with the highest trade balance in the first quarter of 2014. it was followed by holland and ireland. britain registered the worst trade balance.

also in the eurozone employment change was up 0.1% as forecast. (qna)
