(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) Jafza recently conducted a highly-successful roadshow comprising workshops and business seminars in taipei taiwan shanghai hangzhou and beijing china where companies indicated strong interest in using the free zone to launch into world markets.

ibrahim mohamed al janahi deputy ceo of jafza and chief commercial officer economic zones world said that by virtue of its strategic central location with the jebel ali port on one end and the al maktoum international airport on the other jafza is part of one of the largest sea-land-air corridors in the world. he explained that with the addition of upcoming etihad rail passing through the free zone jafza will have another facet added to its multi-modal connectivity. “we place a very high value on the level of expertise commitment and global scale of the companies operating out of jebel ali free zone” al marzooqi said. “for companies looking for a global reach the jebel ali free zone is a world class location with an unsurpassed logistics infrastructure. it offers access to a market of over two billion people in the mena region and is one of the key reasons companies from all around the world are interested in setting up in the free zone.”

the free zone is also located close to the site of the upcoming world expo 2020 being held in jebel ali. like shanghai in 2010 the dubai expo will have a highly positive impact on the dubai and uae economy with the benefits spreading across the entire mena region.
