Chinese auto production, sales dip in May

(MENAFN) New data showed that China's automobile production and sales in May over the previous month, marking the second consecutive month-on-month drop, Xinhua reported. According the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), auto production dipped to 4.4 percent in May to 1.98 million units from April, while sales decreased 4.6 percent to 1.91 million units. On an annual basis, auto production in May increased 11 percent and sales rose 8.5 percent, according to the CAAM.
