Algeria reports first coronavirus death


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Algerian authorities have reported the first coronavirus death case in the country. Algerian health authorities said in a statement that the first coronavirus case died in the night of Monday to Tuesday, after 11 days of hospitalization. Benamar Benmohamed, aged 59 and father of five children, was hospitalized a week after his return from Saudi Arabia where he performed Umrah with his 82-year-old mother, according to the statement. Algeria had announced that health authorities were taking preventive measures against Coronavirus in line with the recommendations of the World health Organization (WHO).
