Kuwait- FM arrives in Athens


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah has arrived in Athens for an official visit to Greece, the first leg of a tour that will also take him to Hungary. Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled's tour aims to participate in the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Kuwait and the two countries. He will head the Kuwaiti delegation participating in the third two-day meeting of the Arab League and European Union (EU) foreign ministers due held in Greece on June 10-11 on bilateral relations and several regional and international issues of mutual interest. The minister's delegation includes Managing Director of Kuwait Investment Authority Bader Al-Saad, Chairman of the Foreign Ministry Europe Department Waleed Al-Khobaizi, Head of the Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, Chairman of the Foreign Ministry Arab World Department, Ambassador Abdulhameed Al-Failakawi, Director General of Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority Sheikh Mishaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Kuwait's Envoy to the Arab League Ambassador Aziz Al-Daihani, Chairman of the Legal Affairs Department Ghanim Al-Ghanim and a number of Foreign Ministry officials. Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled was received at the airport by Kuwaiti Ambassador in Athens Ra'ed Al-Refaai and embassy staff.
