(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) BankDhofar recently reprised its role as one of the chief sponsors for the sixth annual international conference conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Muscat chapter held recently.

The event titled Moving a New World Order “ Role of Finance Professionals was a twoday conference held under the auspices of H E Sheikh Abdullah Salem al Salmi, executive president, Capital Market Authority, Oman.

Other dignitaries who attended the event included H E J S Mukul, Indian Ambassador to Oman presiding as the guest of honour; K Raghu President, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India; M Narendra, chairman and managing director, Indian Overseas Bank; R Seshasayee, executive vice chairman, Hinduja Group India; Dr Hatem al Shanfari, board member, Central Bank of Oman; Rajita Kulkarni, president, World Forum for Ethics in Business; Kimsuka Narsimhan SVP finance and chief financial officer, PepsiCo's India Region; Sandeep Gudavalli, head “ mobility and media solutions; Mohamad al Jamil, head, Enterprise Messaging Modern Information Technology (ITON), Oman.

Highlighting BankDhofar's participation among the main sponsors of the event, Ahmed Said al Ibrahim, DGM - government banking and branding, BankDhofar said, ''As an outstanding member in the financial community, BankDhofar is strongly committed to supporting events that help build a better financial future for Oman.

The ICAI's sixth annual conference has shared invaluable insight on the significance of financial professionals in an age of change, progress and technological innovation.'' Ibrahim also underscored the bank's continuous and consistent support of the finance and business community in Oman particularly by giving them access to networking opportunities through such events.

He referred to BankDhofar's participation and support of the event as an integral component of the bank's strategy to develop the professional capacity of accountants and in capacity building of Omani nationals in Finance, Accounts Auditing, IT, Corporate Governance and allied fiel
