(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) The highly-acclaimed Isuzu DMax has collected yet another award recently, this time from Trade Van Driver magazine.

It was crowned Best 4x4 Trade Pick-Up' at the publication's third annual awards. This is the second accolade that the pick-up has collected in as many months, following the VansA2Z.com Pick-Up of the Year' title that the D-Max collected for a second consecutive year. The expert judging panel concluded that the D-Max is unmatched in meeting the needs of the professional user. Matthew Eisenegger, editor at Trade Van Driver, commented, ''Its solid, nononsense approach, we feel, just can't be beaten for those who need a real tough workhorse.''

Isuzu UK general manager, William Brown, collected the trophy on behalf of the brand at the 2014 Commercial Vehicle Show, held at the NEC, Birmingham. ''The D-Max continues to defy expectations and new-vehicle lifecycle trends by continually increasing sales “ both to business and retail, underlining the pickup's popularity and class-leading capabilities,'' said Brown.

''Isuzu built its reputation in the trade sector for building tough pick-ups that meet the varied day-to-day needs of commercial users and this award confirms that we continue to meet this brief. The introduction of the special edition Blade model further broadens the appeal of the D-Max and means we now boast one of the widest pick-up ranges available to UK customers.'' Published six times a year, Trade Van Driver is the only publication dedicated to profiling transport solutions for the trade professional', with a specific focus on small business users.

The 11 Trade Van Driver award categories, conceived to recognise manufacturers that offer the very best products and services to trade van buyers, are judged by an expert panel made up of journalists and readers who rely on light commercial vehicles for their businesses. Ushering in a new era in pickup trucks and with almost a century of truck-manufacturing DNA, the Isuzu D-Max redefines the toughness and is an amalgamation of splendid design, excellent performance, durability, immense safety and resilience, built on the solid reputation that its predecessor created for the Isuzu brand as a manufacturer of highly capable, robust, dependable pick-ups, the D-Max is the result of the most comprehensive new product development programme in Isuzu's history.

D-Max features aggressive and imposing exterior styling that reflects its exceptional loadlugging capacity, towing capabilities and off-road performance. Inside, driver and passengers will find a spacious and refined cabin featuring high-quality materials and an impressive standard specification.

The Isuzu D-Max range includes single and double cab body and also in both 4x2 and 4x4 configurations. Isuzu D-Max, the ultimate multi-purpose pick-up truck, will enhance your lifestyle in more ways than one. An aggressive form exterior design with a perfect proportion seen in the D-Max does not only end in design, but also accomplishes outstanding aerodynamics. Isuzu designers conducted extensive wind tunnel testing around the world, to ensure the aerodynamics to create a quieter and more economical pick-up truck. With longer, wider and taller body, Isuzu D-Max realises a spacious interior to maximise driver and passengers' comfort.

The new interior delivers more than just space and comfort. At your fingertips you will find all the technology and modern conveniences you have come to expect in a new car. Electroluminescent instruments with Multi Information Display, climate-control air conditioner and keyless entry are all available. Isuzu D-Max reaps the benefits of Isuzu's safety policy: Safety is our priority'. There are dual front airbags with pre-tensioning seatbelts, an energy absorbing nose section, and side impact anti-intrusion bars.

A newly engineered cabin shell constructed from high tensile steel for increased strength and rigidity gives even greater safety to all passengers. Customers will also have the extra assurance of Antilock Brake System (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA) not to mention new projector headlamps and LED rear combination-lamps for maximum visibility.
