Oman- PACA studies possibility of tropical storm

(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) The Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA) is monitoring the low depression forming over the Arabian Sea, which it says, has the potential to develop into a tropical storm in the next 48 hours.

The depression is currently about 1,000km away from the sultanate's coasts.

Weather experts at PACA's Directorate General of Meteorology and Air Navigation are monitoring the situation round the clock.

Current forecasts show the absence of any impact on the sultanate's weather for the next four days.

PACA has said that DGMAN adopts scientific methods to  monitor and analyse the data collected before weather forecasts and warnings are broadcast.
