UAE, Kuwait meet in 3rd GCC Ice Hockey finals


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) GCC Ice Hockey champions United Arab Emirates and Kuwait set for the finals next Thursday of the Third GCC Ice Hockey Championship, after beaten Qatar and Oman respectively. Qatar and Oman will play on the same day for the third and fourth places. The Kuwaiti team defeated Oman 4-2 in an exciting match, which showed Kuwaiti players dominating the rink. The UAE team, rank top in the preliminary round, hammered the Qataris with six goals to three in another exciting match from both teams. Meanwhile, Kuwait Winter Sports Club Board Member Khaled Al-Mutairi told KUNA that the tournament delivered great performances in most matches, noting that the two teams that reached the final deserved to be there due to their exceptional performances. Al-Mutairi added this Gulf gathering also improved players' technical abilities and prepared them for future encounters.
