(MENAFN - Arab News) Syracuse both the city and the university has become one of the favored places for saudi nationals who are pursuing their academic studies in the united states.

recognizing the potential benefits of being close to the region syracuse university (su) chose to strategically have a strong presence in the middle east north africa and turkey (menat).

the university went further and established a menat regional council to facilitate su's srategy implementation in the region.



the su's menat council is composed of prominent individuals of su's alumni including khaled al-ajmi an expert in electronic government practices in saudi arabia.

lately the menat council held a dinner reception to honor the first visit of su's new chancellor syverud kent and his wife ruth kent to the middle east.

the reception was held in dubai last week and was attended by a number of alumni in the region.
