Iran US to Hold 2nd Round of Nuclear Talks


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Neva june 10 (qna) - representatives from iran and the united states are set to hold the second day of their negotiations over tehran's nuclear energy program in the swiss city of geneva. the negotiations will start later on tuesday.



the first round of talks between tehran and washington was presided by iranian deputy foreign minister seyyed abbas araqchi and us undersecretary of state william burns in the swiss capital city according to iran's (irna) news agency.

on monday araqchi who is also chief nuclear negotiator underlined that the talks between iran and the us have been held in a constructive atmosphere.



he explained that the bilateral talks between iranian and american delegations in geneva lasted for five hours and eu deputy foreign policy chief helga schmidt was also present in the negotiations.

araqchi noted that the talks merely focused on nuclear issues. (qna)
