China's CPI up 2.5 percent in May


(MENAFN) Official data showed that China's consumer price index (CPI) rose 2.5 percent in May over a year earlier, up from 1.8 percent registered in April, QNA reported. Meanwhile, the country's producer price index (PPI) dipped by 1.4 percent in May, after a 2 percent decline in the previous month. According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the index edged down 0.1 percent in May over the previous month.
