Oman's NHRC receives 20 complaints till March 2014


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The National Human Rights Commission's (NHRC), monitoring and complaint department received 20 complaints between January and March this year. 

A press release stated that most complaints were related to economic and social rights followed by civil and political rights. 'Of these complaints, five were related to housing rights, four related to places of detention, three on healthcare rights, two on litigations and fair trial and the right to own property.'

It stated that another complaint was about citizenship rights, the right to live in dignity and the right to work.
