Kuwait- Interior probes loss of weapons


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Kuwait city may 22 (kuna): acting prime minister interior minister and minister of awqaf and islamic affairs sheikh mohammad khaled al- hamad al-sabah on thursday formed a security committee to fully and urgently investigate the loss of 25 pieces of weapon from the special forces' military camp.

an interior ministry statement said the committee includes the general administration of criminal investigations and the general administration of criminal evidence to conduct an investigation on the issue which includes the loss of 22 guns two machine guns and one rifle.

the statement added that sheikh mohammad also ordered an investigation with all officers and individuals in charge of the matter and report the findings after the investigation. the statement noted that the criminal investigation general administration will continue to conduct its necessary work on the department's inventory to look into circumstances that led to the incident.
