(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Oman Air is celebrating the latest in a sting of prestigious honours, following the presentation to the airline of the ‘Best Arab Air Carrier' award at the Arab Tourism Media Awards.
The national carrier of the sultanate was also given a special award in appreciation of its long-term and continuing support to the Arab Tourism Media.
The Arab Tourism Media Awards are now in their fourth year and was held at Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel. The event was organised by the Arab Centre for Tourism Media, in collaboration with the Oman Ministry of Tourism and under the auspices of H E Ahmed bin Nasser bin Hamad al Mehrzi, Minister of Tourism.
Usama Karim al Haremi, head of corporate communications and media at Oman Air, commented, ''Oman Air is pleased and proud to accept the ‘Best Arab Air Carrier' award and we would like to thank the judges and everyone else at the Arab Tourism Media Awards for this accolade. We are also grateful for the special award which recognised our commitment to the Arab Tourism Media. ''It is particularly satisfying to be presented with these awards in Oman, which is increasingly renowned at an international level as an outstanding tourism destination which is served by a world-class national airline - Oman Air.

The Arab Tourism Media Awards were presented by H E Mehrzi and Hussain Ali al Manaie, chairman of the Arab Centre for Tourism Media.
The presentation of the ‘Best Arab Air Carrier' award follows a series of recent wins for Oman Air in international awards programmes. In May, Oman Air won the Ecommerce, Food and Beverages and Services categories of the Oman Web Awards and, in April, the airline won ‘Middle East's Leading Airline – Business Class' and ‘Middle East's Leading Airline – Economy Class' at the World Travel Awards, as well as the ‘Best First Class Male' award at the TravelPlus Airline Amenity Bag Awards. Those accolades continue a trend that has seen Oman Air collect more than 40 awards and accolades over a four-year period in recognition of the high quality of every area of the carrie
