Sony tops worldwide sales of video games after 8 years

(MENAFN) Sony has topped worldwide sales of video games for the first time in eight months, beating its rival Nintendo and marking the Playstation producer's comeback, The Peninsula Qatar reported. Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) has sold 18.7 million PlayStation 4 (PS4) systems and other video games for the financial year ended March 2014, while Nintendo sold 16.31 million units. Despite the high number of PS4 sold units, Sony's overall sales of hardware, including the portable PlayStation Vita, declined 20 percent for the cited financial year.
