China's exports hit USD195.47b in May


(MENAFN) Custom data showed that China's exports declined 7 percent in May to USD195.47 billion compared to the same month a year earlier, Xinhua reported. The country's imports dipped to 1.6 percent to USD159.55 billion, while total foreign trade volume increased 3 percent, hitting USD355.02 billion, the General Administration of Customs (GAC) said. According to the GAC data, the combined foreign trade volume in the January-May period of 2014 witnessed a growth of 0.2 percent over a year earlier, reaching USD1.68 trillion. The world's second largest economy has set a trade growth target of 7.5 percent in 2014, lower than last year's 8 percent and 2013 actual expansion of 7.6 percent.
