(MENAFN - Arab News) The hannover trade fair (hannover messe) is optimistic about saudi participation in its exhibition showcasing five main core areas according to marc siemering hannover messe's svp.

"saudi arabia is the biggest market for us in the region. just consider its size and population not to mention its booming economy" siemering said in an interview at the ahk saudi arabia office.

he said his optimism is based on his fruitful talks with saudi businessmen and officials like abdullatif al-othman governor of the saudi arabian general investment authority (sagia).

siemering who was visiting saudi arabia for the first time said that the exhibition will showcase five main core areas from which various products and services will be on display.

these will include industrial automation and it energy and environmental technology industrial supply production engineering services and research and development.

siemering said that he expects more than 180000 visitors from 100 different countries to attend hannover messes 2015. it will be held from april 13 to 17

he added that one standout feature of the exhibition involves the high percentage of industry professionals and top buyers and decision-makers to attend the exhibition.

"like in 2013 a saudi pavilion is planned again in 2015" he said.

he added that abdul salam bin mohammed al-mutlaq chairman of fanar company and a regular hannover messe exhibitor shared his last experiences at the trade fair.

hannover messe has been officially represented in the kingdom by the german saudi arabian liaison of economic affairs (ahk saudi arabia) for many years.

"saudi arabia's participation at hannover messe is a key factor for economic development and successful investment promotion and a further step to strengthen business ties between the two countries" said stephan blocks deputy delegate of ahk saudi arabia.

he added that hannover messe is the international showcase for an industry or true innovative power.
