(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) On June 2, the Italian National Day was celebrated all around the world. An increasing number of Italian companies have discovered Oman to be a favourite when expanding outside Italy.
The government of Oman is putting a lot of focus on assisting small to medium sized enterprises (SME) and this sector is also seen to be the backbone of the Italian economy. Oman with its stable economy and friendly atmosphere attracts a large number of SMEs to the sultanate. Between October 19and 21, a large number of Italian companies will exhibit their products and services at the Italian Business Experience' in Al Noor Hall in MQ to interested business people, potential partners and investors.
This Business to Business (B2B) event provides a golden opportunity to companies in Oman and in the GCC to get more familiarised with Italian products and services and to become prominent partners in new business alliances with Italian product exporters, manufacturers, suppliers, dealers and service providers.
The Italian Business Experience aims to strengthen trade relations between Italy and the sultanate. Sixty per cent of the participants at the last year's event formed new partnerships with Omani companies. This resulted in availability of more Italian products and services in the Omani market.
The organisers are currently discussing with sponsors and exhibitors from both countries for the upcoming event in October. The event is a cooperation between Omanexpo and Easy Business. Omanexpo is the pioneer event management company and the leading organiser of major trade shows, exhibitions and conferences in the sultanate. Easy Business has since the start two years ago successfully assisted Italian companies in their aim to build up a business in Oman, to find partners and investors and to fill gaps still existing in the market.
