park made both nominations in order to avoid a vacuum in national security amid north korea's consistent provocations and threats which are endangering national security and the safety of people living in south korea said blue house spokesman min kyung-wook on sunday the spokesman noted kim's long career in national security as he held a number of positions in areas of combat operations and strategy. min also expressed hopes that kim would carry out his new position well according to korea's (kbs world) website.
