(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Badr al Samaa healthcare group opened its ninth branch in Oman in Falaj al Qabail in Batinah region. The centre was inaugurated by H E Sheikh Dr Hilal bin Ali bin Soud al Habsi, Wali of Sohar, on May 28.
The board of directors, Abdul Latheef, V T Vinod and P A Mohammed besides other dignitaries and corporate officials from various organisations were present during the occasion. According to the directors Badr al Samaa healthcare group, Latheef, Vinod and Mohammed, ''The encouragement and support received from the public motivated us to expand our presence in the Batinah region. The management expresses our gratitude to one and all for the support extended to us all these years.
The new branch will definitely add value in the private healthcare system to the public in Sohar.'' Badr al Samaa Falaj al Qabail will offer comprehensive specialised services in various disciplines. Their long term intention is to make available all kinds of advanced treatments in the country at economical rates. In this regard, Badr al Samaa healthcare group is expanding its presence in the sultanate and other GCC nations.
The second branch in Bahrain was opened recently. In Qatar, Badr al Samaa took over an existing polyclinic. The ongoing project in Kuwait is expected to be operational by the end of 2014. In Al Khuwayr, Muscat, Oman, the group has acquired land to build a tertiary care centre. A majority of nationals and people from other GCC countries prefer to fly out of the country to seek specialised medical care, especially when it comes to high end surgeries and complicated ailments.
To change this mindset, Badr al Samaa, private healthcare group in the sultanate, will be focusing on making this hospital, to be developed as a regional referral hospital, capable of catering services to the entire Middle East and African countries.
