(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Golf enthusiasts can take part in their own Tour of Oman this summer with 12 rounds at three of Muscat's best courses.

The Summer Golf Passport offers players four nine-hole games at Almouj Golf, the PGA Standard 18-hole links golf course at The Wave, Muscat, Ghala Valley Golf Club and Muscat Hills Golf and Country Club from June 1 to August 31 for RO90. Simon Duffield, general manager, Almouj Golf, said, ''Almouj Golf has teamed up for a second year with Ghala Valley Golf Club and Muscat Hills Golf and Country Club to promote golf in Oman by offering the ultimate summer golf package.

This offer was very popular with local and regional golfers, which has prompted us to offer it again. Each course has a great variety of holes and unique features to challenge even the most seasoned golfer, and this is a great opportunity to experience three of Muscat's finest clubs and introduce more people to the beautiful courses the sultanate has to offer.'' Almouj Golf's signature par- 72 PGA standard championship course has beedesigned by legendary professional golfer Greg Norman to complement the natural surroundings.

With dunes, water features and panoramic views of the ocean and Al Hajar Mountains, each hole offers a different challenge to the one before. The course recently received the Gold Award for Best Golf Club' at this year's MENA Travel Awards, placing Almouj Golf in the top three golf courses in the region, as voted for by travelers, members and visitors worldwide. Ghala Valley was originally created in 1971 as a sand course in a natural wadi.

The course completed converting to grass in 2012 and each hole has been designed to follow as closely to the original sand course design as possible. Muscat Hills Golf Course was the first 18 hole grassed golf course to be built in the sultanate and provides five teeing ground options to cater for a range of golfing ability, with the main challenge coming from three holes played over a dramatic escarpment, a 400m floodlit driving range with an undercover tee off area and a putting green for members and guests.<
