Indian schools in Oman not closing early for summer break BoD clarifies

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The board of directors of Indian Schools in Oman has laid to rest rumours that schools will be closing around ten days early for the summer break due to rising temperatures.

It has said that all Indian schools will follow the schedule already decided and notified to parents.

Wilson George, chairman of board of directors, Indian Schools in Oman clarified, ''We have not decided to close the schools for vacation ahead of time. The schools will continue regular operations as stated in the calendars. The summer break will begin in the second week of this month.'' The rumours doing rounds caused excitement and worry.

Soha Nihary, mother of school-going children said, ''I have heard that schools will be closing early for vacation. I hope this is true as we will get to extend our trip home.''

Rita Dutta, another parent expressed concern over the exam schedule. ''Class assessments are on, with some tests scheduled after the vacation. If the news is true, the exam dates may change, too. I am worried as exams will be delayed if the school closes early,'' Rita said.
