Greece to receive a USD4.6b aid from IMF


(MENAFN) The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is set to give Greece USD4.6 billion after the institution's board signed off on the latest review of Greece's rescue package, The Peninsula Qatar reported. Greece last got an IMF aid disbursement in 2013of USD2.3 billion. The IMF has so far lent Greece about USD15.8 billion under a four-year program, meant to help Athens recover from a sovereign debt crisis and rebuild its economy. "Greece has gone from having the weakest to the strongest cyclically-adjusted primary fiscal balance in the euro area in just four years," deputy managing director at the IMF said.
