UAE's Ducab to USD60m Khalifa Industrial Zone


(MENAFN) UAE-based Ducab Aluminium, a provider of cable and wire solutions in the UAE and wider GCC region, plans to launch a manufacturing plant Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi worth USD60 million, according to Arabian Business. Ducab has already signed an agreement to secure 546.070 square-feet plot of land in Kizad's aluminium cluster. The new project by Ducab will be its sixth in the Emirates, and it already owned AEI Cables in the UK. Ducab's facility is expected to start operating in 2015 and will focus on the production of aluminum rods and conductors for overhead transmission lines, and will provide mainly the cable manufacturing industry and utility sectors.
