Oman takes part in Arab Cultural Festival in Korea


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The Sultanate's Embassy in South Korea participated in the nine-day sixth Arab Cultural Festival which was held in Seoul.

A press release stated that the festival was organised by the Arab Korean Association in cooperation with Arab missions to Korea and the Korean Foreign Ministry.

During the festival, H E Mohammed bin Salem al Harthi, the sultanate's Ambassador to South Korea delivered a lecture titled ‘Welcome in Oman' at Dankook University.

In his lecture, H E Harthi gave a powerpoint presentation highlighting the rich Omani history and

civilisation, tourist and archeological sites across the sultanate. A short film showcasing Oman's rich culture was also screened on the occasion.

At the varsity, the embassy had set up a stall to showcase Oman's rich historical and archeological sites. H E Harthi also met with the deputy president of Dankook University and discussed areas of cooperation like student exchange programme.

The deputy president expressed his desire to send Korean students to study in the sultanate and vice versa.
