Qatar's exports dip 7 percent in April


(MENAFN) Figures released by the Qatari Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics showed that the value of the country's total exports of goods declined by 7 percent in April, The Peninsula Qatar reported. The value, including exports of domestic origin and re-exports, reached USD11 billion last month compared to the same month a year earlier. Meanwhile, the value of imports of goods in the country reached USD2.42 billion in April, increasing 10 percent month-on-month. During the period, the trade balance of goods, which represents the difference between total exports and imports, showed a surplus of USD 8,56billion, down by USD960 million or 10 percent over a year ago.
