Hungarian investment volume up 22.6 percent


(MENAFN) According to Hungary's Central Statistics Office, the volume of overall investments in the country has increased by 22.6 percent in the January-March period over a year earlier, Xinhua reported. Investment value stood at USD3.7 billion, marking the fourth consecutive quarter of rising investment. The first quarter period accounts for 15 to 18 percent of total annual investment. In an overall look, investments in machinery and equipment were up by 25.2 percent, while investment in the construction sector incresed by 20.2 percent. Service sector investment jumped by 28.7 percent and investment in info-com was up by 24.2 percent, while health and human services investment increased by 34.2 percent and energy by 21.5 percent.
