Ford to recall 1.4 million cars in North America

(MENAFN) Ford automaker announced recalling around 1.4 million SUVs and passenger cars in North America, 134,000 of which in Canada, due to steering, rust and floor mat defects, QNA reported. According to BBC, almost 1.1 million sport utility vehicles (SUVs) sold in North America are to be recalled as they could suffer a loss of power steering problems. General Motors (GM), Ford's rival, has caused most of these recalls, as the US automaker is accused of failing to report safety defects in some of its cars that could cause the engine to suddenly switch off.
