(MENAFN - Arab News) In presence of riyadh gov. prince turki bin abdullah bin abdul aziz who is also the honorary president of naqa mobily presented its financial support of sr1 million to the saudi anti-smoking society.
nasser al-nasser coo at mobily handed over the company's donation to the governor in the presence of humoud al-ghobaini executive gm corporate communications and pr and mohammad jaber al-yamani chairman of the society. this took place at the governor's office in riyadh.
al-nasser stated that mobily is part of the society and its interaction with the various charity associations is a duty that falls under its csr program in which the company pays a special attention to this aspect.
al-nasser pointed out that its support to naqa comes as a contribution to convey its message that seeks to raise awareness of the dangers of smoking and its impact on the health and economy of the society.
al-nasser confirmed that mobily will continue supporting all acts of charity that would benefit all segments of society and this is not restricted to financial support alone. the company will harness all its human and technical capabilities to turn its initiative into a strong motive for the private sector to move on toward this direction.
mobily earlier launched a service called mobily-naqa and other services promoting prevention and awareness of how smoking endangered health. fifty percent of the revenues were allocated for the benefit of naqa.
the mobily-naqa service is based on a variety of directives to help smoker quit smoking through smss that reach the subscribers via three main channels - prevention awareness and treatment. they can subscribe to each of the channels by sending 1 2 and 3 respectively to the 606 080 at a cost of 40 halalas per day.
