Apple buys Beats Music for USD3b


(MENAFN) Apple has announced its plan to buy Beats Music and Beats Electronics in a deal worth USD3 billion, aiming to expand its existence in online music sector, according to Oman Observer. The deal for the maker of high-end audio equipment and the subscription streaming music service will be Apple's largest acquisition ever. Apple's chief executive Tim Cook said: "Music is such an important part of all of our lives and holds a special place within our hearts at Apple. That"s why we have kept investing in music and are bringing together these extraordinary teams so we can continue to create the most innovative music products and services in the world."
