Irish residential property prices up in April


(MENAFN) According to official figures released, Ireland's residential property prices increased nationwide by 1.4 percent in April, Xinhua reported. The Central Statistics Office (CSO) said that this increase followed a decrease of 0.7 percent in March and an increase of 0.8 percent in April a year earlier. Property prices in Dublin up by 3.1 percent last month after cooling over the previous four months. They were 17.7 percent higher than a year ago, the CSO added. Meanwhile, property prices in areas outside of Dublin dropped by 0.3 percent in April compared with an increase of 1.2 percent in April of 2013.
