(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MP Hamad Al-Harshani, head of visiting Kuwait's parliamentary friendship group, lauded on Wednesday outcomes of the group's visit to Austria, saying that it has attained its desired goals, including mutual desire to strengthen bilateral cooperation relations in various areas.
During their visit, the Kuwaiti parliamentary group conducted a series of talks with heads of Austrian parliamentary blocs, addressing bilateral relations between the two countries and development of regional and international issues, particularly the humanitarian situation in Palestine and Syria, Al-Harshani stated to KUNA.
Kuwaiti-Austrian talks also included Schengen visa waiver for GCC citizens, ways to enhance economic, commercial, and investment relations, and desire to boost bilateral cooperation between Kuwait and Austria in solar power and power generation fields, the Kuwaiti lawmaker said, adding that next year will mark the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries.
An official invitation has been directed to Austrian parliament speaker Barbara Prammer and head of parliamentary friendship at Austrian parliament to visit Kuwait at the earliest opportunity, added Al-Harshani.
