(MENAFN - #Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah met Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal here on Wednesday on the sidelines of the ongoing Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) conference.

During the meeting, they discussed ways and means of promoting and bolstering Kuwaiti-Algerian relations in various cooperative domains and several issues of mutual interest.

Speakingto reporters following the meeting, Sheikh Sabah Khaled said the joint committee of #Kuwait and #Algeria will convene in September, hailing the committee as an umbrella for bilateral cooperation in all realms.


He added that both sides would have a political consultation agreement due to swift political regional events.

The Kuwaiti official believed the NAM conference was a good opportunity for him to seek closer cooperative relations with Algeria.
