(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) The limited edition 2014 FIFA World Cup pre-paid card launched by Bank Muscat in association with Visa has evoked good response from football enthusiasts in Oman.

The card celebrating the crowning glory of world football is available in all Bank Muscat branches across the sultanate. A bank account is not a pre-requisite to acquire the special edition card, which can be used locally and around the world.

Tariq Atiq, AGM “ cards and e-banking, said, ''Bank Muscat, in association with Visa, is delighted to reward football enthusiasts with the exclusive 2014 FIFA World Cup card. The card, which serves as an attractive memorabilia, is aimed at complementing the lifetime opportunity facilitated by the bank, in association with Visa, to experience the 2014 FIFA World Cup excitement in Brazil.

The card offering enhanced security and convenience facilitates new levels of partnership and attractive benefits to customers.'' Atiq added, ''Football is reckoned the national game which runs in the blood of every Omani. Hence, the unique opportunity offered by Bank Muscat, in association with Visa, for football enthusiasts to witness the crowning glory of world football endorses the national enthusiasm and fervour for the game in Oman.''

The Bank Muscat Visa 2014 FIFA World Cup pre-paid card has a top-up limit of RO960 and can be replenished on the bank's CDM network across Oman. Payments using the card are made against funds available in the prepaid account. The card, considered a collector's item, remains valid beyond the 2014 FIFA World Cup period.

Bank Muscat, in association with Visa, has been granted an exclusive positioning among 20 global banks chosen as official Retail Bank of 2014 FIFA World Cup. Bank Muscat is the only financial institution in Oman to receive this unique privilege. Football enthusiasts in Oman will have the unique opportunity to experience the thrills and excitement of the 2014 FIFA World Cup matches, including the finals, live in Brazil, as Bank Muscat, in association with Visa, is offering 66 all-expenses-paid packages.

The exciting promotion, targeted at rewarding the bank's Al Mazyona customers, Visa debit and credit cardholders, asalah Priority Banking and mobile banking customers, started on February 1 and runs till May 31. In all, 24 packages of 2014 FIFA World Cup are exclusively available for Bank Muscat Visa cardholders.

Bank Muscat Visa debit cardholders earn a chance to participate in the draw with five PoS transactions a month, while credit cardholders get a chance for each PoS transaction worth RO10. The all-expenses-paid 2014 FIFA World Cup packages include airline tickets, match ticket, four-day and three-night hotel accommodation and sightseeing in Brazil courtesy of Visa
