Qatar- EMRA'A holds workshop for women


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) ExxonMobil Qatar's Professional Women's Network, EMRA'A, held a workshop for over 100 female employees from ExxonMobil, RasGas Company Ltd (RasGas), and Qatargas in Doha last week. Entitled EMRA'A, The Power Within, the workshop, which was led by David Burton - the Founder and Managing Director of Burton Consultancy - a company that specialises in training, facilitating, consulting and business coaching; provided participants with the skills, knowledge and insights to effectively succeed in a globally diverse environment and team. The workshop was specifically tailored for female professionals working in the oil and gas industry in Qatar, and focused on topics such as: developing cultural intelligence, understanding unconscious bias and stereotyping, embracing change and valuing diversity, and understanding the elements of successful diverse teams. "As a female working in a multinational company in Qatar, I really benefitted from attending this workshop, which was hosted by EMRA'A," said Hasnaa Al Qahtani from RasGas. "The content was specific to Qatar and highlighted many aspects of our work environment and helped explain the characteristics of the diverse workforce we have at corporations in Qatar today. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience, and will definitely refer to what I learned today in my own workplace when the need arises."
