Marriot posts 2.8 percent rise in revenue in Middle East, Africa


(MENAFN) Marriott International has posted 2.8 percent growth in revenue per available room (RevPar) in its business in the Middle East and Africa in January, according to Arabian Business. Marriott reported that its occupancy rate boosted by 4.2 percent in the region, excluding Egypt, during the month compared to the same period a year earlier. Marriott's performance of hotels in Qatar saw occupancy growth by 9 percent, totaling 70 percent in January compared to the same period last year.
