KMCC member in Oman gets award


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) A member of the Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre (KMCC), a non-government organisation in Oman, will receive Kerala government's Pravasi social service award this year.

PAV Aboobacker, a central committee member of KMCC, has been named recipient for the social work he has undertaken in Oman. For the past ten years, Aboobacker has been coordinating with the Indian Embassy in Muscat to extend help to expatriates in need. ''It is a great honour for me. I dedicate this award to other workers of KMCC,'' Aboobacker said.

Aboobacker is a KMCC member for the past 14 years and on its central committee for five years. He is also a recipient of Muscat Kerala Pravasi Cultural Centre Award and an award by the Indian Embassy in Muscat
