Qatar- 30 new services added to Metrash2


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The Ministry of Interior (MoI) participated in the third edition of Qitcom 2014 at Qatar National Convention Centre. The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani, who inaugurated the exhibition, visited the pavilion of MoI and listened to the latest e-services rendered by the ministry to the customers on its website. The Information System Department of MoI has introduced several new electronic services, which can be accessed through Ministry's website and Metrash2. The Director of Information System Department, Saleh Khamis Al Kobaisi said that customers can now access a number of eservices in MoI websites using smart card, like visa payment, family visa extension, issue return visa, fine payments, renewal of visa approval, changing nationality of domestic workers, instant approval for servants and domestic workers etc. Company owners or authorised persons can also make several transactions through website. Residence, traffic and civil defence services will be added soon. He added that 30 new services have been added to Metrash2, in addition to the existing services. Sponsors can register absconding complaints against his employees, if found absconded, and contact the Search and Follow up Department for further procedures. Registered users can avail required certificates, visas and other official papers through Metrash2. Capt Engr Abdul Rahman al Maliki, Assistant Director of ISD, said that the new services were added on ministry's website as part of implementing the strategy of MoI to keep the all eservices updated.
