China's fixed asset investment slows in Q2
(MENAFN) China Securities Journal reported that the country's fixed asset investment is forecasted to grow by 17 percent in the second quarter over a year earlier, QNA reported.
The projection is a further slowdown from 17.6 percent in the first quarter, according to a report from the State Information Center.
Property sales declined 6.9 percent in the January-April period from a year earlier in terms of floor space and fell 7.8 percent in value. Investment in property will slow due to decreasing sales and tightened lending.
It is noted that China's economic growth dropped 7.4 percent in the first quarter of the year, the lowest level since the third quarter of 2012.
