(MENAFN) A report by a US-based research company showed that LG Electronics Inc. ranked 3rd in the world in terms of earnings from mobile phone sales in the January-March period of 2014, the first time in the firm's history, QNA reported. The South Korean tech firm earnings of mobile devices formed 4.2 percent of the total earnings from mobile phone sales worldwide. According to Strategy Analytics, LG sold more than USD3.18 billion worth of mobile phones in the first quarter period, following Apple Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co., the two tech giants.
