45 Omani products stalls at GCC expo


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) will participate in the 15th GCC Exhibition which begins in UAE on Monday. As many as 45 stalls displaying various products of Oman will be set up in cooperation with the Oman International Exhibition Centre.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, H E Ahmed Sulaiman al Maimany, Undersecretary in MoCI said, ''This is a very good opportunity for small scale enterprises to use this platform to attract buyers.

''It will help exhibitors know about the demand of Omani products across the region and the world.''

H E Maimany said that once owners of these enterprises get to know about the demands of buyers, they can tailor-make their goods accordingly. ''I hope that the exhibition will help to bring in desired results for these enterprises.''

He said that the idea is to promote Omani products on a bigger platform, boost trade and attract investments. ''We are looking at this opportunity as a means to build trust and partnership with buyers and retailers.''

He said that exhibitors can sell their products only on last two days of the exhibition.

The exhibition will conclude on May 3
